As a child, she began writing and illustrating stories, hoping to create the next great cartoon comic strip one day. She fell in love with the Carolinas at a young age and found it a natural setting for her books. G.L.T.Lyons also publishes women\u2019s fiction and mystery under Gina Lea. Kirkus Review called her first book, <em>Defining Destiny<\/em>, \u201cAn ideal, frothy beach book.\u201d Gina draws on her own experience living in a small town and working in the coffee industry for her stories.
