With five grandchildren, Kim always loves reading books to them and especially loves books that rhyme. After Louie\u2019s ordeal, she thought his story would make a good children\u2019s book. After retiring, Kim finally had the time to sit down and draft the poem into a story. She and Chuck live in St. Louis, Missouri, with Louie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>About the Illustrator:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because Tessa Buck is the same age as Louie, she always asked her grandma Kim to tell her the story about the time that Louie was lost in the woods. Tessa has loved to draw since she was a little girl, and after her grandma wrote Louie\u2019s story, she was excited to help her by drawing the pictures for Searching for Louie. In addition to drawing, Tessa has a pony named Penny, and she loves riding horses and competing in horse shows.
