It is his unique documented point of view on what was going on around him leading up to the attack on Pearl Harbor, his induction into the United States (US) Army, infantry training, officer training school at Fort Benning, military intelligence training and role as instructor at Camp Ritchie in Maryland, and his time with the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) in the US and London.

These diaries are as entertaining to read as they are significant as a primary source for those interested in WW2 history research.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
