THE AUTHOR

Louise M. Malarkey, RN, Ed.D

The author has been a registered nurse since 1962. She was a practicing nurse for 10 years and then completed a 37-year career as a professor of nursing and chairperson of the Nursing Department at the College of Staten Island. She is the co-author of two nursing textbooks.
