I grew up the oldest of eight kids in South Portland, Maine. My family struggled just to put food on the table. I say this because, coming from a place and family where I was not advantaged, it affected me. I did fairly well in school, and sports were the biggest part of my life. So, when God called me back to Himself at age 33, my calling as an Evangelist, my life took a dramatic new road. I sold everything I had, gave to the poor, and went off to school for 3 years, where I earned an M.S, M.D.V, and later a Th. D while attending Princeton Seminary, Wheaton College Graduate School, and Drew Theological. The miracle was that I did not pay for any of this education. God paid it all. Hall of Famer Ron Pierce: “John’s book is a testament to the goodness of God for his people.” Hall of Famer Mike LaChance: “This book tells of the most important race anyone could ever enter in his lifetime.” Lover of God and Horses Bethany Robbins: “Most people see the dust and the speed, John Prescott sees the creator. In “Go”, the starting gate isn’t just a beginning, it’s a metaphor for the moment we stop hesitating and start trusting. Prescott writes with the grit of a veteran horseman and the heart of a disciple. If you’re looking for a sign to move forward, this is it.
