About the Author

Edward Martin Polansky is semi-retired Certified Public Accountant, with more than 50 years in practice. He has had an ambition going back to his time working in a public library in high school to write a children’s book depicting challenges that young people have to deal with in growing into maturity. Using his observations of the hurdles that young people face, he has woven a series of six books using Oscar the Osprey as his protagonist. Mr. Polansky follows Oscar’s adventures and challenges from being an outcast as a youth to become admitted to the highest authority in the Osprey flock, a member of the Elder Council. The stories are all about his overcoming self-doubt, working with his unusual siblings, and achieving distinction with all the Ospreys and other animals in the forest.
