The author knew from a young age that she wanted to become an author, having penned several poems published in various anthologies and received a B.A. degree in education from Central Michigan University and an M.A. in English Language and Literature from CMU as well. She taught elementary, middle, and secondary school grades K-12 and many college/university courses ranging from basic mathematics to history to consumer economics to multi level English.
