Babette Canacari is a storyteller and advocate living in Colorado. She is a mother, Gammy, and nanny who has learned to transform profound loss into purpose. After losing her daughter Brianna at age twelve and her husband, Chris, to suicide, Babette has dedicated her life to honoring their memories through her words, her presence, and her commitment to helping others navigate their own grief.

For over 13 years, she has also been an advocate for organ and tissue donation through Donor Alliance, sharing her family\u2019s story to raise awareness and bring hope to others through the gift of life. Her story has reached audiences across the country, including an appearance on LA Ink, as well as local Denver news features. She has spoken publicly about grief, resilience, and the power of community.

Babette is the co-founder of The Healing Home Retreat, a sacred space for those walking the path of loss. She is also the founder of Ride for Hope, an annual motorcycle event held during Suicide Prevention Month to raise awareness and honor those we have lost. In addition, she created \u201cI\u2019ll See You Tomorrow,\u201d a suicide awareness initiative rooted in prevention, connection, and hope.

As a nanny to children she has loved deeply over the years, Babette has discovered that love, presence, and consistency can be a quiet form of healing. She cherishes the bonds she has built with the families who have welcomed her into their lives.

This is her first book\u2014a testament to a life lived in the presence of grief, and a love that never stops reaching toward the light.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
