Margaret Carson, writing as Pixie McLeod, is an Australian author whose work is grounded in lived experience, emotional honesty, and a fierce commitment to protecting vulnerable children.

Her memoir, Failed by the System, exposes the realities her adopted children faced in flawed institutions and highlights the strength, advocacy, and resilience required of a mother determined to fight for them. Now based in Perth, she writes to raise awareness, spark conversation, and inspire meaningful change.
