About Joseph D. Perry

Joseph D. Perry serving as a Senior Pastor and founder of a Christian Church spent an insurmountable amount of time in hospitals praying for the sick and shut in. “I felt that with prayer, and specifically if I prayed, the healing anointing that I have would transfer to the person”. Perry believed if he laid hands and prayed on them, they would recover. In addition, “I am married to a doctor who likewise spends more than half of her life caring for the sick”. After her long twelve to sixteen-hour days, she occasionally talks with me about the painful losses that weigh heavily on her. Without names, of course, as not to violate HIPPA.

So here we have in one household two of the three teams that are necessary in the healing relay as discussed in this work. She, being a skilled and capable doctor for more than 20 years. I, being a capable pastor with a gift of praying and healing for more than 12 years. Perry, felt that these two combos would almost guarantee a complete recovery from any ailment. It didn’t take long to discover a painful reality. Despite having a good doctor and a good pastor lay hands and pray, some recovered and some did not. This troubled Perry to the core.

Why God? Why? Why did “THIS” person get completely healed and the “OTHER” person die? Why after years of doctors and years of praying, did this person lose their grip on life?
Perry began to extensively study each person, case, or patient that he encountered. During this study, he began doing a comparative analysis between the ones healed and the ones not. As he was studying the patients, he also began to look to the Bible for answers.

What was the secret ingredient to healing? What was he missing? “Was I not praying right? He even examined his own life before he prayed for people. “I needed to ensure that my life was in order with the purpose of God as not to be a hindrance to the healing process”. He began exhaustively studying Jesus and the people He healed. “I was looking for a pattern that I could mimic and imitate”. “This way I could increase the rate of success in the people I prayed for”.

“This is what I discovered”.

First of all, the only pattern he discovered was that there was no pattern. Second of all, he discovered that healing is “A 3-man team”. The overwhelming majority of the pupils he studied exhibited something. They had a considerable number of traits, characteristics, and attributes outlined in this work or book. The ones that were not healed did not.
