This book is an attempt to answer the question, \u201cHow important to God is his global mission, and why is the completion of that mission so important to him?\u201d The answer to that question is of the essence, because that mission will be important to us, his human lovers, only as we are aware of its importance to him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is no overstatement to say that God is passionate about the completion of his global mission. Passionate? Yes. He is, in fact, a God of passion. The Bible says he hates sin and loves sinners, and he is moved with compassion toward needy people like widows and orphans. He can be grieved but can rejoice with joy comparable to that of a bridegroom rejoicing over his bride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Without doubt, the God of the Bible is a God of passion, including a passion for the completion of his global mission. But we can know the intensity of that passion only as we are aware of the why of that passion. This book is about the why of that passion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
