About the Illustrator
Suzanne Larkin is an award-winning designer and longtime friend and teaching colleague of Sandy Duhé, author of L is for Love: My Jesus ABCs. Suzanne’s artwork has been featured in greeting cards, custom tile designs, and major brand advertisements around the world.
When Sandy first wrote L is for Love: My Jesus ABCs, she had the words but longed for the right illustrator. When she shared her dream with Suzanne of publishing the book and portraying Jesus in a garden-like setting, Suzanne began sketching in her notebook, and Sandy immediately knew Suzanne was the illustrator the book was waiting for.
Suzanne brought that vision to life with hand-painted watercolor, setting Jesus alongside companions including a butterfly, bee, ladybug, caterpillar, bird, and rabbit who return throughout the book as gentle, familiar friends. Every scene Suzanne painted carries the same quiet intention: to fill every page with love.
