About the Author
A terminal medical diagnosis may be the best way to concentrate the mind and maximize the use of time. It happened for me at age 77 and set me on a writing blitz. I finished a 1000 page book, The Bible in Verse, and have since written three others within a year – New Testament Profiles in Poetry, First Testament Profiles in Poetry, and now Jesus Life Story in Poetry.
As a retired New Zealand Baptist Minister, missionary, development worker and trainer, and social ethics teacher, I have read the bible all my life. But writing it makes you dig deeper and I have discovered many facts and nuances that had escaped me on previous readings. This book traces Jesus story from before the Garden of Eden millennia ago, to the New Jerusalem yet to come. It is written from his perspective.
I have hobbies of course, including tennis, gardening and reading. I live in Rotorua, New Zealand tourist destination with boiling mud, steam and geysers, beautiful lakes, streams full of trout and luxuriant native bush.
