He then\u00a0 worked in Berrien Springs and Benton Harbor Michigan as a consulting internist for 12 years. Returning to Duluth, Minnesota, to care for his aging mother, Roach worked as an occupational physician consultant for St. Luke\u2019s Hospital until an opportunity to teach internal medicine residents drew him back to Kalamazoo for 20 years of teaching, including design of a tropical medicine rotation to Madagascar. Now, Roach lives with his wife, Priscilla, in Cottage Grove, Minnesota.<\/p>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Richard R.
