I have a love of writing that goes back many years. But loving to write does nothing if one doesn’t actually write. And, in order to write, one must be creative about things to write about and make the time to actually do the writing.
I had been a busy family man for many years in my younger days and during that time I managed to commence working on a few manuscripts, never really completing any that I felt was publish-worthy. Finally, in 2006, there was enough to write about and so I embarked on an essay-writing project. I published the book of essays called Ground Beef for the Mind, 2008, via Authorhouse. Each essay was on a different subject that people, generally speaking, could relate to. In 2024, I published Part-one of my memoirs, Famous, I Am Not, about the intriguing times of one man, living in three successive countries — via Dorrance Publishing. As of the time of writing this, Part-two, even though being ready, has not yet been published. Since the book of essays had about a hundred and fifty topics, I automatically knew that there was so much there from which I could easily choose a subject for my next book. Hence, I ended up writing this book, Unimagined Consequences — of childish 20th century decisions.
