Born in Gambia, Aisha Hydara enjoyed the diversity of cultures from her Senegalese father and Gambian-Sierra Leonean mother. She moved to England at the age of seventeen to further her studies. Wishing to follow in her Journalist mother’s footsteps, she studied Media and Business Applications at Birkbeck. In the course of her degree studies, she rediscovered her interest in writing and experimented with poetry. Inspired by the stories of the people around her, she started Cry Back To Happiness, showcasing their resilient and engaging personalities.
