The author has an honours graduate degree In Wild Life and Fisheries Biology from the University of Toronto and is an Honourary Companion of the University of Guelph.
He worked as a civil servant, science and biology specialist teacher, and has won several awards in the hospitality industry as an entrepreneur. In his free time, he practised Tae Kwon Do, and played league and World Golden Oldies cricket tournaments, earning medallions against both a New Zealand and South African team.
