Hello there! Thank you for visiting my website, which was created to support the publication of my first poetry book and fulfillment of a lifetime dream.

My first poem titled “Today” was written when I was 10 years old. It was innocent and hopeful.

Since then, I have written many more and surprisingly never lost them over a span of 40+ years despite moving to many different homes and once misplacing the entire collection for a few years! That was a frantic experience, to say the least…yet here I am finally becoming the author I always knew I could be. It is an exhilarating feeling to say the least!

The poems that fill these pages tell a story…

The story of what my heart has felt during different phases in my life,

Glimpses into the special moments of the life I have lived so far,

The expression of my emotions which I have always wanted to share,

The story of a life lived with wonder, reflection, and hope.

Creating my book for over four years became a special journey of finding myself once again,

Along with revealing the courage I thought I lacked to make the dreams I have in life come true…

Yet, in the end, I discovered that the strength I needed to break free was always inside of me.

Ultimately, in getting reacquainted with my prior self during the process of finishing this book,

I realized this truth…

I am presently a 53-year-old woman full of gratitude,

I am still a 10-year-old girl full of wonder,

And as time passed I had the honor of being,

All the messy, emotional, enlightened, and wonderful versions in between.

Thank you for traveling this journey with me in reading my poetry. I am so happy to have you here and believe you may find pieces of yourself in these pages, too.

Remember, you do not have to be lost in the literal sense to be found again—I see “finding yourself” as the process of realizing how much your hopes, dreams, and most importantly your unique and special voice really matter. You find yourself when you set yourself free!
