In a time of shallow thinking and even more shallow understandings of what it means to be a Christian, “Thy Will Be Done” has been a project to put my own struggle with Gay and Christian on to the page that will resonate with anyone who has ever had to wrestle with God and come away changed.
I hope that one of the books greatest strengths is that it’s not merely a theological argument or even a testimony (in the traditional sense)—but a journey, an invitation to the reader to come alongside me and wrestle with the same questions as we seek God with a pure heart.
It’s also important to me to have accomplished what I feel good Christian writing should do: it does not tell the reader what to think but compels them to seek God for themselves.
