The Author

Jim Lewis was an Army brat. From childhood through high school, he lived in Kentucky; Frankfurt, Germany; St. Jean D’Angelo, France; Killen, Texas; Bangkok, Thailand; and finally Aurora, Colorado. He attended nine schools during that time. In 1966 he joined the Army. While in Germany, he found a civilian church and was led to the Lord by his Sunday school teacher. Later, he spent 14 months in Viet Nam. After getting out of the Army, he attended Oklahoma Baptist University, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Church Music. Later he rejoined the Army where he completed a total of 22 years of service, serving as music director in every church or chapel he attended. After retiring, he joined the civil service as a computer technician at a local hospital, retiring after almost twenty years. Now he is totally retired.

He has twin sons and has been married to his wife, Gloria, for 51 years as of June 2023. He resides in Lawton, Oklahoma.
