The Heart of a Mother from Roses to Mayonnaise

Are you looking for a unique book about motherhood, family, love, laughter, and finding support through your most difficult days?

Come along as I share my laughable experiences raising two young, energetic children who kept my life in a whirlwind of activity, uncertain decisions, and nervous worries. You’ll also enjoy the happy adventures I shared with them and my loving husband, whose helpful sense of humor always brought joy to our family.

Some of these writings offer the praise you deserve for your many efforts that have often gone unnoticed (Moms Need Lovin’ Too and A Mother…A Pearl). Other pieces encourage you to believe in yourself and, with a little heavenly help, to succeed in your work and daily life.

I hope The Heart of a Mother reaches out to touch your heart and reminds you that you are valued as a mother.

When I was a young mother, my most influential author was Erma Bombeck. She helped me laugh through years of fear and insecurity, as well as the happy and sad moments of life, while reminding me to be thankful for the good times and the loving family I had. I wrote her a special thank-you note, and she graciously responded, thanking me for my unique letter and offering encouraging compliments about my talent and my beautiful poetry and prose.

I could never imitate her writing or equal her talent, but I would love to help others through my writing the way she helped me through hers.

Finally, I consider this God’s book. He gave me the experiences, the words, the talent, and the encouragement to write it. I believe He wants it to be shared with others who will find enjoyment, faith-filled comfort, and perhaps even answers to their prayers.
