ABOUT THE BOOK

Unredeemable

Unredeemable is a Christian memoir that chronicles the true story of Kevin Dodge, a man who transformed from a violent career criminal into an evangelist through his faith in Jesus Christ. Rather than simply recounting a criminal past, the book presents redemption as its central message, arguing that no one is beyond God’s mercy

Kevin Dodge grows up in the housing projects of Boston in a deeply dysfunctional home marked by alcoholism, violence, infidelity, emotional abuse, and neglect. Feeling unwanted and surrounded by instability, he turns to crime at an early age, committing armed robberies, theft, and other offenses while still a teenager.

As he matures, his criminal activities escalate into organized armed bank robberies and kidnappings. His life becomes increasingly intertwined with organized crime, eventually leading to multiple arrests and severe prison sentences. At sentencing, a judge declares him “unredeemable,” a word that becomes both the book’s title and the challenge its story seeks to overturn.
