About the Author

The author Leah Palm was born on April 23, 1938, in Everett, MA. Since she was “an army brat” she moved a lot, to include places like Panama.

Lieutenant Colonel Palm’s formal education began with a business degree in 1957. She worked at the Kansas State Capital, and Fort Riley, KS for several years. The author graduated with a bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy in 1966. Later, she graduated with an MA degree. Lieutenant Colonel Palm worked with special needs children and mental health patients and soldiers who had suffered from gun-shot wounds, amputations and thermal injuries.

She believes that her education, varied work environment, and previous publications “Remembrances” and “No Harm Done” offers her a “firm foundation” upon which she can “build a book”. She is now eighty-six years old. She later contracted Parkinson Disease and became wheelchair bound. She now resides at Brookdale Senior Living.
