I am a wife and mother of a blended family. My second husband, Ken has three boys ages 40 to 34. I have 4 boys ages 27 to 18. So together we have seven sons and one grandson 16. Parenting is a never ending, thankless job. Ken and I are in the midst of the season of empty nesting. The hardest part of parenting is accepting success. As the job of parenting is to teach our children to be independent of us. They no longer need us. Yet sober rewarding. I’m writing this book now at the age of fifty-four. One because I have free time to focus on this quote UN quote job.
Switch gears from quote Unquote job as a domestic engineer stay at home mom to author. Add a loss of purpose and identity it was just time to reinvent myself. In doing so I took time to introspect, and reflect on the good bad ugly and indifferent events of my life. I knew at my core life could be somehow be better not just for me but for my sphere of influence and wanted to help others join me on the quest of making the world and life and lives better for all those around us.
The intent of this book is about helping others flip the switch or flip the script and open eyes to the concept that peace making is an inside job. The benefit of making peace with your past and yourself. Getting real raw and honest. Then can we come together in unity and crossover from shame to shine.
Book is meant to be controversial to start conversations of caring and sharing and promote humility and kindness to create a time of healing.
