THE AUTHOR

Meet the Author:
Sawsan Makhlouf

She loves swinging on playgrounds, exploring libraries, and discovering the little moments that make childhood special. After spending 15 years as an Early Childhood Educator, she developed a deep passion for supporting children as they learn, grow, and build confidence.

Her experience working with children inspired her to begin writing children’s stories that are simple, meaningful, and connected to real childhood experiences.

I Don’t Need Bandages is her first book. Through this story, she hopes to encourage children to enjoy the moment, overcome small challenges, support their friends, and celebrate their achievements.

Her mission is to inspire children to enjoy the moment, believe in themselves, and celebrate their achievements.

Meet the Illustrator
Alaa Ebied

She traded blueprints for brushstrokes, bringing her background and expertise in Interior Design into the wonderful world of children’s illustration.

She believes every story deserves its own visual language. That’s why she loves working with whatever materials feel right for each story—from watercolours and collage to digital art and more.

Her style shifts, evolves, and plays because every story deserves to look like itself.
