About the Book
The volume provides an overview of seventy-five Italians that changed the course of culture for good or bad. As well as eighteen other Italians that in their own way have made individual marks on human history. Also included are a brief history of Italy, a detailed index and bibliography for your reference.
The effects each of the seventy-five plus eighteen Italians have been lasting and we experience them every day in every way in our daily lives. They have become part of our culture and science as well as ingrained into our psyches and social norms. Life without Marconi’s wireless inventions would be quite different. Absent the cultural contributions of Pacino, Puzo, Loren or da Vinci would be bland. Without the music of Verdi, Vivaldi or Zappa we would be uninspired. Lacking the experience of Mussolini, Luciano and Capone humans may not have learned important lessons.
These Italians have made their marks on history and they will last as long as human history lasts. That said history is fleeting. In the time you have read this time has passed into history.
You have the same opportunity to leave your mark (hopefully in a positive way) as one of those listed in the table of contents in this book.
Each biography is meant as a summary of each individual meant to stimulate further research and interest. Each individual is worthy of libraries full of research, as has been the case for many. If you are so motivated do so, learn from their efforts and apply them to your goals and hopefully in years to come you will find their lives and lessons helpful.
